Junior Project Manager: Nashville Based (Remote Option) Full Time Job

Southern Made is a team of curious technologists and creative problem solvers. We are seeking a detail oriented person who enjoys working with people and has the capacity to learn how to engage with multiple projects and clients simultaneously. You will be working directly under experienced, Senior Technical Project Managers who will provide support, guidance and training to help you improve your skills and succeed in your role. The environment is exciting and fast paced. You will work with the team to deliver on 100’s of projects each year.


Junior Project Manager on a growing number of projects across multiple industries

In this role, you will

  • Own the overall customer experience and serve as a primary point of contact for communications
  • Work with other project managers and team members on projects for direct mentorship
  • Drive timelines and aim for on-time delivery and successful completion
  • Draft project scope, deliverables and outline needed resources
  • Manage client project schedules, priorities, budgets and requirements
  • Write user stories and acceptance criteria for developers to build against
  • Create wireframes and/or clickable demos for client approval
  • Oversee and manage design and technical development resources
  • Thoroughly QA/Test client deliverables
  • Own / host kickoff meetings, recurring touch points during the project, etc.
  • Set meeting agenda and provide appropriate followup communications
  • Be initial point of project escalation; escalate as needed
  • Align and track project resources and tasks
  • Keep internal team informed of project status and proactively communicate challenges


To be successful in this role, you have (required)

  • 0-2 years of technical project experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Comfort with ambiguity, frequent change, or unpredictability
  • Excellent judgment, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, relationship building skills and ability to achieve results
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present a polished, professional, and diplomatic image to all stakeholders
